OUR PHILOSOPHY

​​Internships are an important component of an educational program, providing students opportunites to explore a career and apply the skills and knowledge from the classroom into a business setting.  In order for students to succeed, we need to prepare them for the world of work, which means not only college readiness,but career readiness. Students need access to postsecondary education and skills attainment possibilities that will prepare them to achieve in the 21st century.

Requirements

Scholars will complete 135 hours of a supervised volunteer or paid internship, as evidenced by monthly time records and journal reflection entries, employer evaluations, and an Electronic Career Readiness Portfolio.
